BMBL Pre-Season Power Rankings 2025-26

Welcome back for another year of Brockville Men's Basketball League! We would like to thank our team

ree

sponsors for 25/26; Super Simple Sheets, Lonesome Pine Farms, Ewyn Weight Loss Studios, Mike Fair GM, Podium Sports Therapy & Wellness, Tomlinson and Rideau Realty.

  1. Super Simple Sheets (Fullarton)

No surprises here as the reigning champs hold down the top spot in the pre-season power rankings. Expect them to be solid across the board- with a good balance of athletic guards and big bodies! Super Simple Sheets starts their journey towards a back to back championship on Wednesday against Ewyn (Fawcett). SSS received all but 1 first place vote, and will start the season with a target on their back.

  1. Tomlinson (Lockhart)

First year captain and last years league MVP, Zach Lockhart kicks off his first draft with a team strong enough to earn the 2nd spot in our pre-season power rankings. This team will be full of energy / competitiveness, and is definitely an Geldhart-Cup quality team!

  1. 4Life Fitness (Benson)

4Life prioritized size and toughness in their draft and came away with what is sure to be a top defensive squad. Will take time for their offence to gell, but with size and shooting expect this team to stay on the right side of .500 this year!

  1. Mike Fair Chevy Buick GMC (Clemmens)

This team has everything it needs! Quality shooting, really high basketball IQ's and a team that should have great chemistry. Expect this team led by Captain Clemmens to push into the conversation for Geldhart Cup as well! You have to pick your poison with this team because you can't stop them all.

  1. Podium Sports Therapy (Perrin)

This seems a little low for the squad that has been to the Geldhart Cup 3 straight years, ultimately winning 2 of those titles. However, elite sharp shooting captain Sean Perrin took a different approach on draft night and time will tell if it pays off. Much like Nico Harrison in Dallas, he acquired one of the leagues top players in Jacob White who is also heading into what looks like an Anthony Davis type injury filled season. This teams X-factor will be creating offence without White in the line up, as well as guarding bigger teams. However, if you're a betting person never bet against Perrin who looks to jump into the Geldhart Cup for the 4th straight season.

  1. Ewyn Weight Loss Studios (Fawcett)

Might as well call this squad the BCI Red Rams as Fawcett picks up Brody and Devin Burns as well as Carey Roach out of retirement. Also selecting big man Brian Kloosterman will give this team a chance to win every single week and create significant match up problems for the teams without Giants. Ewyn's success will rely heavily on 3-point shooting, but expect this team to get out to a hot start as they may have quick developing chemistry.

  1. Rideau Realty (Burns)

Have we learned nothing? This team gets voted in the bottom half of the pre-season rankings annually, but ALWAYS finds themselves climbing to the top. Expect this group to push every team, every week and play in close games all year. No matter which playoff side Rideau Realty ends up on expect to see them in the finals as they play hard, smart and always score efficiently.

  1. Lonesome Pine Farms (Fortier)

Recieving the most last place votes was Lonesome Pine Farms. This team probably has the most question marks surrounding them as Captain Trevor Fortier has proven himself as one of the leagues strongest players. LPF has the ability to push teams and win games, but time will tell who steps into the X-factor roll here. Team has good size, and well rounded players. LPF kicks off their first week vs. Podium Sports Therapy which is being highlighted as week 1s "Game of the Week".

Make sure to check back for week 1 updates such as "Players of the Week", Week 1 Power Rankings and general updates. Let's get off to a great start, make sure to thank the refs and custodians at gyms each week and I hope to see everyone Wednesday for a great start to the year.
