Final call outs for Brockville Elite 7 on 7 Tryouts!
Year 2 of Elite 7’s non-contact football is set to be even more exciting than year 1! This year we are running 3 competitive programs: Junior (gr. 4-8), U15, and U18. Tryouts will begin November 5th, and conclude on November 7th. Friday evening our Juniors will do their physical testing at 4Life Fitness- located at 50 King Street East from 7:00pm-8:00pm, followed by our U15 and U18 testing from 8:00pm-9:00pm. All athletes are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to testing for an adequate warm up.
Saturday and Sunday we will move to on field skill evaluation on Calbrock field. Juniors will run from 12:00pm-1:00pm and our u15 and u18 programs will work together from 1:15pm-2:45pm. Again, we ask that athletes arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of their session. We greatly appreciate your punctuality, and as a program expect it as part of our culture. The first step to success is showing up on time. Cleats are mandatory for Sat/Sun sessions***.
This year’s highlights for our Senior programs (U15/U18) are the “Battle in the Six” March 5-6 in Ajax, and a University showcase tournament at Waterloo in January, 2022. Both of these tournaments offer huge recruiting visibility. Last summer we attended a showcase camp at Waterloo and Laurier that has created USPORT opportunities for several of our athletes already. Additionally, our Junior and Senior programs will both participate in weekly tournaments with the Cornwall Wildcats and other invited programs starting April/May 2022 (dates are to be determined). We also plan to host a club tournament on the outside Turf in Beckwith in May (details coming soon).
